1. The earliest antecedent of the aeronautical history in the country takes us to Mexico city, where the first ascent by the Frenchman Eugene G. Robertson, on February 14th, 1835 and the first by a Mexican was by Benito León Acosta, on April 3rd, 1842.
2. The first president that flew was Francisco I. Madero on November 30th, 1911 for 11 minutes on the plains of Balbuena in a Deperdussin that flew Geo M. Dyott.
3. The first airport was the Balbuena National Aerodrome which operated since 1915 with military use.
4. On July 12th, 1921, the Mexican Air Transportation Company (CMTA) was founded in Mexico city, which until August 28th, 2010 operated as "Mexicana de Aviación", being the third oldest airline in the world After KLM and Avianca.
5. The first civil airport was built where the AICM is now located in 1928 and began to serve in February 1929.
